General sales terms and conditions

These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (hereinafter “GTC”) apply to all services provided by Elisa DENIS through the micro-business “Objective Normandy – ELISA DENIS (EI)”, registered under SIRET number 99997051000015.

In compliance with current regulations, the guide holds a Professional Guide-Lecturer Card No. GC215911P, issued by the French Ministries of Tourism and Culture.

Clause 2: Pricing and Payment Terms

2.1 Service Rates

The rates for guided tours offered by Objective Normandy – ELISA DENIS (EI) are set in euros (€) and are valid for the current year. Prices are net and exclusive of VAT (in accordance with current regulations for individual businesses not subject to VAT – Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code).

  • Step-on tours (guiding service aboard a vehicle provided by the client) start at €400 per group, departing from Bayeux (Calvados, Normandy, France).
  • Rates for other services are provided upon request or via email.

2.2 Price Adjustments

Rates may be revised in the event of significant cost changes or at the start of each tourist season. The rates in effect at the time of booking will apply, unless otherwise agreed between the parties.

2.3 Payment Terms

  • For bank transfers, the balance is due no later than 30 days before the service date, unless otherwise agreed.
  • For other payment methods, the balance is due on the day of the service, unless otherwise agreed.
  • Failure to make payment within the specified timeframe may result in the cancellation of the reservation, without prejudice to any applicable cancellation fees.

2.4 Accepted Payment Methods

Payments can be made via:

  • Bank transfer (bank details provided upon request),
  • PayPal (details provided upon request),
  • Check (France only – for the balance only, payable to Elisa DENIS, on the day of the service),
  • Credit card (for the balance only, on the day of the service),
  • Cash (for the balance only, on the day of the service).

Clause 3: Cancellation and Refund Policy

3.1 Cancellation by the Client

The client may cancel their reservation, subject to the following conditions and fees:

  • Cancellation more than 30 days before the service date :
    Full refund (100%) of the amount paid, excluding any banking or administrative fees.
  • Cancellation between 15 and 30 days before the service date :
    50% refund of the total service amount. The remaining 50% will be retained as cancellation fees.
  • Cancellation less than 15 days before the service date :
    No refund will be issued. The full service amount will remain due

3.2 Refund Process

Refunds, when applicable, will be processed within 15 business days of receiving the written cancellation request (via email or mail). Refunds will be issued exclusively via bank transfer or PayPal, after receiving the client’s complete banking details (IBAN for transfers).

3.3 Cancellation by the Service Provider

In the event of cancellation by “Objective Normandy – ELISA DENIS (EI)” due to circumstances beyond its control (e.g., force majeure, illness, or material impossibility), the client will be promptly notified and offered either:

  • A rescheduling of the service to a later date,
  • A full refund of all amounts paid.

3.4 Force Majeure

“Objective Normandy – ELISA DENIS (EI)” shall not be held liable if the guide is unable to conduct the tour due to an event considered force majeure (unforeseeable and insurmountable event, such as a natural disaster, general strike, pandemic, etc.).
No compensation will be due in the event of cancellation for reasons of force majeure (Article L1213-5 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure).

Clause 4: Liability for Personal Belongings

“Objective Normandy – ELISA DENIS (EI)” declines all responsibility for the loss, theft, or damage to clients’ personal belongings during the service.

Clause 5: Dispute Resolution

5.1 Disputes Involving “Professional Clients”

In the event of a dispute between the Professional Client and the company, both parties shall endeavor to resolve it amicably (the Client shall submit a written complaint to the professional or, where applicable, to the professional’s Customer Relations Service).

In the absence of an amicable agreement or if the professional fails to respond within a reasonable period, the dispute may be referred to the Commercial Court of Caen, France.

5.2 Disputes Involving “Individual Clients”

In the event of a dispute between the Client and the company, both parties shall endeavor to resolve it amicably (the Client shall submit a written complaint to the professional or, where applicable, to the professional’s Customer Relations Service).

In the absence of an amicable agreement or if the professional fails to respond within a reasonable period of one (1) month, the Client, as a consumer within the meaning of Article L.612-2 of the French Consumer Code, has the right to refer the matter free of charge, if a disagreement persists, to the competent mediator listed on the register of mediators established by the Commission for the Evaluation and Control of Consumer Mediation pursuant to Article L.615-1 of the French Consumer Code, namely :
