From an early age, history has been a lifelong passion of mine. Over the years, this interest continued to grow and naturally guided me through my Master’s degree in Tourism. Throughout my studies and professional journey, I have always enjoyed observing places, uncovering their stories, and sharing their meaning.
I am originally from Hauts-de-France, a region known for its distinctive architecture and its powerful historical legacy shaped by the two World Wars. Growing up in such an environment – my hometown destroyed during WW1 and partly destroyed during WW2 – strongly influenced my desire to understand and transmit history. During my university years, my career path became clear: I wanted to become a professional guide. I therefore obtained the official French National Tour Guide certification.
After gaining experience in live theatre and working as a guide in Northern France, I settled in Normandy — a region I immediately fell in love with, and which I am proud to call home today. Based in Bayeux, it will be my pleasure to share my passion for history with you. My goal when guiding on the landing beaches is not only to talk about dates, strategies, and battles. What I truly enjoy is sharing the personal stories of the soldiers who were here – History becomes much more meaningful when we remember that behind every uniform was a person with a life, a family, and a story.
Above all, the goal of the day is to spend a wonderful historical day together. Whether you are travelling as a couple, with family, or with friends, a history enthusiast or simply curious to learn more, I tailor my tours to suit all audiences.
See you very soon,
Elisa
